From aerospace to agricultural machinery, our client, GKN, supply the highest quality engineering systems, structures and components from locations across the globe. As key sponsors of the Silverstone Formula Student event, GKN were looking for an all-day live-stream that would encourage engagement with the GKN brand.
Deploying the 20 cameras brought with us to Silverstone Circuit, High Viz Media produced 10 hours of live-streamed content across each event day.
We employed two professional hosts for this particular live-stream, Alexander Legouix and Paul Woodford, who chased the most interesting and emotional stories trackside and from the engineering hubs. Regular pit-walks and catch ups with the 128 competing teams, visiting from 30 different countries, were also featured.
Our use of long range video transmission antennas ensured that we always had a feed from our two main pit-walk cameras.
We were stationed in the site's Race Control tower, within which we ingested all of the footage, cut the live stream, and created VT's to be played out when there was nothing happening live. This also allowed the presenters and other crew a transmission break.
The end result was over 40 hours of live-streamed content to YouTube, boosting engagement and raising GKN's brand awareness with viewers internationally.
